Our Store Policies

First Step Flowers and Gift is a family operated business in home based studio. Everyday we picked fresh seasonal blooms from the market. We have one goal in mind: giving our customers a fair, rewarding, and enjoyable shopping experience. We conduct business according to the same values, knowing that better service equals loyal customers. Our store policies are detailed below, please have a look and contact us if you want to learn more!

  • Delivery policy

If order is placed by 11am (Brisbane time) for Monday to Friday, there will be same day delivery. Saturday deliveries will be done if we receive order before 10am. After that delivery will be done in next business day.  You can also pick the flowers from our store by appointment.

All business deliveries will be done by 5pm. All residential deliveries will be done by 6pm. So we MUST receive your order by 11 Am- Monday- Friday for same day delivery.  If you need your flowers delivered at a specific time please contact us at least one working day prior to the delivery. If no one is at home to receive them, flowers will be delivered at safe place OR we will contact you for a re delivery. We will inform the sender about it and there will be re-delivery fee for next day. In terms of hospital deliveries, deliveries will be left at reception if they do not allow the courier to deliver the flower to  the recipient.

  • Substitution policy

Every day we buy fresh flowers from the market. Flowers are subject to seasonal availability. We will make every effort to prepare your order as per your selection. If any type of flower is out of season we will substitute it with similar type, color and value. Therefore, order in advance to reduce our need for substitute. we can guarantee you will receive beautiful flowers and great value for money.

  • Some flowers are arrived up unopened to prolong their life and protect them in transit. For example – lilies, tulips, Irises Roses.

  • Policy of cancellation and changes

First step flowers and gift is  family owned and operated small business in home based studio, we value our customer and their satisfaction is more important to us. To avoid any cancellation or Re – delivery, it is your responsibility to provide correct address. There will be re-delivery fee, if we have to re-deliver due to any circumstances. We are unable to give refunds on the day of delivery, which is already made and flowers are already on way to deliver. We will provide refunds 48 hours prior to delivery day.
